Baader Planetarium recently released a number of new products to their existing catalogue.
The first is a simple but effective 3D printed tool – The Baader 2″ Filter Crown Tool – to make it easier to remove and install 2″ filters in their Herschel Wedge which can be hard to reach. It can also come in useful if you have a Baader filter stuck in e.g. 2″ nosepiece or UFC filter holder for example.
The Baader MaxBright II is a very popular binoviewer and now it is available as a set with a choice of a pair of their Classic Ortho eyepieces where you can choose from 2x6mm, 2x10mm, 2x18mm or 2x32mm.
The Baader M54 system has some new additions in the form of a range of fixed length extension tubes, M54 to 2″ nosepiece, M54 external to M48 internal and M54 internal to M48 external adaptors, an M54 male-to-female inverter, metal M54 male and female dust thread covers and one for the S54 ring too.
For those with an interest in cometary study a new C2 SWAN-band filter with <15nm half band width that isolates the two C2 lines at 511 and 514nm is now available in 1.25″ and 2″ sizes.
The last new product is a 4x Telecentric for the Baader SunDancer II H-alpha solar filter system. This amplifies the image by 4x and delivers a 36mm diameter plane-parallel beam of light. It can also be used instead of a Barlow lens for non-H-alpha applications too (e.g planetary imaging).
