We recently highlighted the Baader Q-Turret 4-eyepiece revolver supplied as a package with 4 eyepieces, 2.25 barlow lens and storage case.
There has been a lot of interest in the Q-turret so we thought we would show you how big it is relative to eyepieces. As you can see from the photo’s below the unit is quite compact.
The example set up below consists of the Q-turret along with a Celestron’s 40mm E-Lux, 13mm Plossl and Skyris camera as well as a Baader Genuine Orthoscopic eyepiece.
The Q-turret is not very wide and adds ~38mm to the path length (i.e. moves the eyepiece out by this amount).
To keep overall weight down the turret is made of strong plastic and as a result only adds just over 90g (on its own) to the telescope. The overall weight of the set up shown comes in at just under 520g.
